Dear Madam,
I would like to submit my portfolio in accordance to my application for three year Journalism program at Centennial College Communications campus. In relation to that, this portfolio is composed of a contents page, letter of intent, resume, personal bio and some copies of my original work. I am a college student at Centennial Communications campus and currently taking Communications and Media Foundations program. Before entering Communications campus, I took Hospitality and Tourism Administration at Centennial College Progress campus. I spent at least three semesters from that program before I decided to switch in the new program that I am taking this semester.
The program that I am planning to enrol after Communications and Media Foundations is the three year Journalism program. Based on its program criteria, Journalism program provides students with all the learning and experience that would help them to achieve a career in Journalism. Looking at the qualities Journalism has to offer, I consider myself to be part of it and be aware of its major areas of work. I know that all of the courses that this program has would absolutely boost up my future success as a professional journalist.
In terms of my work capabilities; I am hard working, a good team player and manage my time wisely on every task that I handle. One major experience that I had in the past related to journalism is working as a co-op magazine student for a Downtown youth organization and from there; I enhanced my oral and written communication skills. I believe that having these qualities would help me to achieve in becoming a successful journalist. On that note, I am confident that I will be accepted in Journalism program and would be able to improve my knowledge in a more advanced level.
